Self Insurers Association of Victoria (SIAV) is the Victorian representative association and a member of the National Council of Self Insurers of Australia. Members of SIAV include 37 state-based and multi-state self insured companies, many falling in the top ASX 100. SIAV is an active organisation, liaising with other stakeholders in workers compensation and occupational health and safety and meeting regularly with WorkSafe Victoria.

The association began in 1985 when the Accident Compensation Act was introduced.  At that time there were 10 authorised self-insurers in Victoria.
